Ich benötige diese kleine "Dockingstation" ( Dell Legacy Expansion E-Port Replikator ) beruflich, um an meinem DELL Latitude E6420 Notebook, die RS232 Schnittstelle nutzen zu können. Der RS232 Port wird manchmal noch bei Nutzung von älterer Programmiersoftware benötigt.Die RS232 Schnittstelle funktioniert ohne Probleme und wird unter Windows als COM1 erkannt.Die beiden PS/2 Buchsen und den breiten Parallel-Port nutze ich nicht.Je nach Anwendungszweck sind die beiden USB-Anschlüsse auch ganz nützlich.Der E-Port Replikator ist ziemlich flach und stört bei der Arbeit am Notebook absolut nicht.Manchmal verkantet sich der E-Port Replikator beim Anstecken ans Notebook, dann funktionieren einige Anschlüsse aufgrund von Kontaktproblemen nicht. Einfach nochmal abnehmen und neu anstecken, dann läuft alles fehlerfrei.Ich bin mit dieser Lösung ganz zufrieden und kann den E-Port Replikator weiterempfehlen.
